- Assignment Management
Technicians now have the ability to accept or reject assignments directly within the app. This feature provides greater flexibility and enables more effective management of workload and priorities. - Enhanced Dispatcher Communication
Dispatchers can now view the status updates of technicians in real time, including their dispatch status. This improved communication ensures a more coordinated response to field operations. - Distinct Travel and Work Status Icons
To make task progress clearer, the app introduces separate icons for “Start Travel” and “Start Work.” This distinction ensures more precise tracking of technician activities. - Mandatory Asset/Location Scanning
Before starting work, technicians are required to scan the relevant asset or location. This enforced scanning improves accuracy and ensures that the correct resources are being worked on. - Streamlined Material Requests
Previously, technicians could request additional unplanned materials using the “Request Materials” action. MAS 9.0 adds two new buttons to enhance this process:- Save as Draft: Allows technicians to save their material requests as drafts before final submission, extending the functionality of the app.
- Approve: Technicians with appropriate security privileges can now approve their own material requests if needed, streamlining the approval process.
- Automatic Inventory Reservations
For approved material requests, the app supports automatic creation of inventory reservations. This feature, configurable via Organization settings, ensures that resources are efficiently managed and available for tasks.
